Founded in 1991 to provide publications and consulting services focused on interactive enterprise automation systems coming from a wireless perspective.

 

The General Press Publication Activities

The flagship publication was The WCCN Letter, an 8-page monthly published continuously from the firm’s founding until October 31, 2006. The monthly was available by paid subscription only, and carried no advertisements.

 

The WCCN Wireless Handbook Series offered a number of Handbooks on Wireless LANs, and RFID. The most recent release is the widely successful RFID in the Enterprise. 

 

The decision to cease publications offered to the public at large was based on several factors including the accelerated absorption of the ADC supplier sub-industry into mainstream data processing, and the growing preference for electronic publications funded by advertising, and not by paid print publications.  The absorption of ADC-Interactive Transaction Processing into mainstream data processing mandates a new focus that is way beyond the scope of the coverage that The WCCN Letter was intended and merchandised to cover.

 

The Consulting & Private Report Activities

With cessation of the general press publication activities, WCCN is free to concentrate upon its consulting activities, and to expand its customed private client reports to include selective off-shelf reports to be made available to the general public.

 

While throughout its fifteen year history WCCN has performed technology due diligence for clients seeking to acquire AIDC properties, the recent interest of private venture equity investors in participating in the consolidation of AIDC properties has enabled a level of synergy between WCCN’s supplier consulting and due diligence activities.

 

The accumulative effect of these activities enabled WCCN’s customed reports to build rather informed “futures” and “directions” scenarios. The customed report’s client list include four of  AIDC’s leading CEO’s
